Objective:

Design a poster for the Type Director's Club Ascender Exhibition based around the letter "H."

Since this poster is for the 2023 Ascenders New York Exhibition, it showcases type in a unique way and incorporates aspects of NYC into the design. The poster itself is created to look like part of an exhibition, with the acrylic H seeming to glow in the red lighting.

The positioning with the H partially off the page is intended to help the H feel like it is towering over everything else, representing the NYC skyscrapers. The blackletter typeface in the main title is intended to pay homage to the New York Times.
